When you book your first appointment, our practice staff will collect your personal information during the registration process.

when GP or other professionals provide your personal information via referrals, correspondence, and medical or other reports.

Furthermore, we might gather your personal information when you visit our website, send us an email or SMS, call us, book an appointment online, or communicate with us through social media.

When, why and with whom do we share your personal information?


We prioritize the privacy of your personal information and will never disclose it to any third party without your explicit consent. How do we store and protect your personal information?

Mathews Psychology stores your personal information primarily in electronic form using our clinical management software. If we receive any information in hard copy format, we will scan and store it electronically before destroying the hard copy as de-identified. Once your personal information is no longer required, we will either destroy it or de-identify it.
*Psychologists keep records for a minimum of seven years since last client contact unless legal or their organisational requirements specify otherwise.

Dealing with us anonymously

You may choose to interact with us anonymously or using a pseudonym, as long as it is feasible for us to accommodate your request. However, if the law mandates dealing only with identified individuals, we must comply with this requirement.
